Sweet Upon This Day

Sweet upon the wind is the sweet smell of roses

And is there for those with sensitive noses

Sweet is the wildlife in the summer season

There they have rhyme and good reason

Sweet underneath the rain that tastes divine

And is there for those who don’t care for wine

Sweet is the sun on those with happy faces

We are closer to the sun in divine places

Sweet beneath a full moon that lights up the sky

We see this beauty is visible with the naked eye

Sweet are the stars that fill the night skies

And dreamers who make telescopes rise

Sweet upon this day, two lovers divine

As like the Earth we revolve and combine
